Should I avoid anything before the treatment?
Discontinue using active ingredients, including retinols (Vitamin A), skin-peeling agents and skin-lighteners.
What will I look like after the procedure?
Some redness is normal immediately after the procedure, but it fades quickly. By 24 -48 hours after the process, the skin should return to normal.
When will I see results?
Most people see results after their first treatment. Treatments can be repeated every 4-6 weeks. The number of treatments depends on individual goals and ongoing treatments will continue to benefit your skin. For scar reduction, 3-6 treatments are often required.
How often should I have the treatment?
Everyone should have at least 2 treatments per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most people to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart.
What is the Downtime?
Your skin will have a sunburned appearance and may feel tender for several hours, this is perfectly normal and should subside by the following day. You’ll be sent home with some gel as part of your aftercare routine, feel free to reapply the gel throughout the day as necessary. The microscopic puncture wounds from Skin Needling are still open and your skin is vulnerable to developing an irritation or infection. Therefore, careful precautions must be taken to prevent any complications.
What conditions does Skin Needling treat?
Skin Needling is used to treat both old and new acne scars, stretch marks, sagging skin, and fine lines. It can also be used to improve the general tone and firmness of the skin as well as reduce pore size.
What should I expect during the procedure?
We will first clean your skin thoroughly. You then will have a numbing cream applied to your skin to help you stay relaxed and comfortable during the procedure. The Skin Needling device is then activated over your skin. The needles penetrate the upper layer of skin. After the procedure is complete, a mask and serum are applied to the treatment area to help the skin heal and provide hydration.
Who should avoid this procedure?
While Skin Needling is considered a safe procedure, there are some people who should avoid or postpone treatment. Current open wounds or abrasions on the treatment area are also a reason to delay treatment. Anyone who has received radiation therapy to the skin within the previous 12 months is not a candidate for this procedure. Individuals with current skin infections or herpes simplex in the treatment area should not receive treatment. Lastly, individuals who have a history of healing poorly, or developing hypertrophic or keloid scars should not undergo this treatment.
How long does the Procedure Take?
The procedure takes 50 - 75 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

What is the After-care advice?
Avoid touching your skin immediately after treatment as this can introduce dirt, bacteria or other contaminants to your skin. Do not exercise or participate in strenuous activity for the first 24 hours. Make sure to stay out of direct sunlight for 72 hours as well as other sources of intense heat such as sauna or steam room.
1-3 Days After Skin Needling:
Your skin may feel a little rough and dry. You may experience some mild peeling too. During this time cleanse your skin morning and evening, followed by a bland moisturiser. You should continue staying away from harsh skincare products that can irritate your skin.
One Week and Beyond:
By now the micro injuries should have completely healed. New, healthier skin cells are being formed and collagen remodelling is underway. This is the perfect time to introduce a cosmeceutical skincare product to support skin healing and regeneration.
