What causes Acne?

Acne is caused by a variety of factors, most notably:  bacteria, hormones, gut health, and stress. It occurs by (or by a combination of) dead skin cells, excess oil or sebum, makeup, or too heavy of products for your specific skin type. They clog the pores and can cause bacteria to multiply, leading to skin breakouts.

What Treatment Options are Available?

We have amazing chemical peels, LED light therapy, and exfoliation techniques that can make a major impact on acne breakouts and acne scarring without affecting your daily life.

We can customise your treatment plan to your skin type and the type of acne you have.

Acne Deep Cleanse Facial

Our Acne Deep Cleanse Facial is a great option to rid your pores of any impurities that can lead to a more aggressive breakout. The facial consists of a full face and neck clean and exfoliation, followed by a facial steam in order to open up the pores. We will then extract any blemishes, if necessary, and infuse your skin with an anti-blemish formula and a hydrating mask .

We recommend doing a series of facials in order to clean out all the impurities and prevent future breakouts.

Chemical Peel

Peels can be a great option for acne patients because the acid, such as salicylic acid, can break down what is clogging the pore and eradicating the root of the issue. Other alpha-hydroxy acids can kill bacteria and exfoliate the dead surface cells that can trap the bacteria or clogged pore.

By encouraging cell turnover by exfoliation, chemical peels are a great addition in treating and preventing acne scarring too.

LED Light Therapy

LED Light Therapy is an amazing ingredient when it comes to treating acne and acne scarring while preventing future breakouts. The Blue light is able to kill P-bacteria, which is the bacteria that causes most acne breakouts.

Red Light is both anti-inflammatory and collagen-stimulating, so this light will help to heal any current breakouts you may have and improve the overall texture and appearance of your skin.

You can choose either the blue or the red light for your treatment or combine the lights together. LED light therapy treatment can take 10-20 minutes and can be done weekly or monthly. You can also add it on following an Acne Deep Clean Facial, Chemical peel or after Skin Needling.

Acne Scars Treatments

One of the worst things about acne is the scars it can leave behind. The right treatment option will depend on the type of scarring you have therefore we can assess your skin during a free acne consultation. Some treatment options include Chemical peels, Skin Needling and Plasma Treatment.

You can book a FREE acne consultation to discuss acne scarring or any of our acne treatment options.
