What is Skin Needling?
Also known as micro-needling, this treatment delivers micro-injuries to the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing response. These tiny punctures encourage the body to produce collagen and elastin to “heal” the skin, leaving your skin refreshed and rejuvenated.
This minimally invasive approach smooths out lines, reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks and visually shrinks pores to improve the look and feel of your skin.

These microstructures are able to attract and hold more water in the skin for a longer duration to deliver unmatched hydration. The multi-layered encapsulation technology gradually releases niacinamide and glutathione to further hydrate and brighten the skin over time.

How do I prepare for my skin needling treatment?
2 days before your appointment we recommend stopping all products containing retinol (Vitamin A), skin-peeling agents and skin-lighteners.
What will I look like after my skin needling session?
Some redness is normal immediately after the procedure but as the numbing cream fades your skin will become increasingly red and tender.
When should I see results from skin needling?
Most people see results after their first treatment. For optimal benefits, it’s recommended to undergo four sessions a year, roughly one each season. This regular schedule helps your skin rebuild and maintain a healthy and youthful appearance.
How often will I need skin-needling treatments?
We recommend an initial series of 3 treatments, about 4 weeks apart. After this initial stage, the frequency and length of your treatments will depend on your individual needs. However, we recommend you book at least 4 treatments annually for optimal results.
What downtime can I expect from skin needling?
Your skin will look sunburnt and may feel tender for several hours. This is perfectly normal and should subside overnight. You’ll be sent home with gel as part of your aftercare routine – reapply the gel throughout the day as necessary. As the microscopic puncture wounds from your treatment are still open, your skin is vulnerable to developing an irritation or infection for several days. Careful precautions must be taken to prevent complications (see Aftercare).
What skin concerns benefit from skin needling?
Skin needling can treat old and new acne scars, stretch marks, sagging skin and fine lines. It can also improve the general tone and firmness of the skin as well as reduce pore size.
What does a skin needling session look like?
We will first clean your skin thoroughly. A numbing cream is then applied to your skin to help you stay relaxed and comfortable during the procedure. The skin needling device is then activated, penetrating the upper layer of skin. After the procedure, a mask and recovery cream are applied to the treatment area to help with skin healing and hydration.
How long does a typical skin needling session take?
Depending on the size of the treatment area, most skin needling sessions take 50 to 75 minutes.
Who should avoid skin needling?
Skin needling is a safe procedure, but you should avoid or postpone treatment:
if you have open wounds, acne or abrasions in the treatment area
if you have received radiation therapy to the skin within the previous 12 months
if you have a current skin infection or herpes simplex in the treatment area
if you have a history of healing poorly or developing hypertrophic or keloid scars.

Skin Needling AFTERCARE
Immediately after treatment
Don’t touch your skin as this can introduce dirt, bacteria or other contaminants. Don’t exercise or do strenuous activity for the first 24 hours. Stay out of direct sunlight for 72 hours and avoid other intense heat sources like hot baths, saunas or steam rooms for 3-5 days.
1-3 days after treatment
Your skin may feel rough and dry and you may experience mild peeling. Cleanse your skin in the morning and evening and follow up with a bland moisturiser, avoiding active skincare products that can irritate your skin.
One-week post-treatment
By now the micro injuries should have completely healed. New, healthier skin cells are being formed and collagen remodelling is underway.
