How do I prepare for my Skin Needling treatment?
Before your appointment, you may be advised to temporarily stop using certain active skincare products, such as retinoids, exfoliating acids and other potentially irritating ingredients.
Your practitioner will provide preparation instructions relevant to your skin and treatment. Please also let us know about any changes to your health, medications, skin condition or recent treatments before your appointment.
What will my skin look like after Skin Needling?
Redness, warmth, sensitivity and mild swelling are common immediately following Skin Needling. Your skin may look and feel similar to mild sunburn for a short period following treatment.
These effects generally settle progressively, although recovery varies between individuals and can depend on the intensity of treatment and your skin.
When will I see results from Skin Needling?
Changes develop progressively as the skin responds to treatment and new collagen is produced. Some clients may begin to notice improvements in skin texture and appearance following their initial treatment, with further changes developing over the following weeks.
For concerns such as acne scarring, fine lines or uneven texture, a series of treatments may be recommended. Results and treatment response vary between individuals.
How often will I need Skin Needling treatments?
The number and frequency of treatments will depend on your skin, individual concerns and treatment goals.
For some concerns, an initial series of approximately three treatments spaced around four weeks apart may be recommended. Following this, your practitioner can advise whether maintenance treatments would be beneficial and how frequently they should be performed.
What downtime can I expect from Skin Needling?
Skin Needling typically involves a short period of downtime. Redness, warmth, sensitivity, dryness or mild swelling may occur following treatment and generally settle progressively over the following days.
Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare instructions and advise which skincare products to use or avoid while your skin recovers.

What happens during a Skin Needling treatment?
Your skin will first be thoroughly cleansed and prepared for treatment. A topical numbing cream may be applied to help make the treatment more comfortable.
Our CXMed Meso Elite is then passed across the treatment area at settings selected according to your skin and individual treatment plan. The device creates controlled micro-channels within the skin to stimulate its natural renewal and collagen response.
Following treatment, appropriate post-treatment products may be applied to soothe and support the skin. Your practitioner will then explain your aftercare.
How long does a Skin Needling treatment take?
Most Skin Needling appointments take approximately 50–75 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the specific treatment option selected.
Additional components, such as Klárdie Korean Glass Skin Booster or LED therapy, may affect the overall appointment time.
Who may not be suitable for Skin Needling?
Skin Needling is not suitable for everyone. Treatment may need to be avoided or postponed if you have an active skin infection, open wounds or significant inflammation in the treatment area, or certain medical conditions that may affect healing.
A history of keloid or abnormal scarring, certain medications, recent procedures and other individual factors may also affect suitability.

Skin Needling AFTERCARE
Immediately after treatment
Avoid touching the treated area unnecessarily and keep your skin clean while it begins to recover. Your practitioner may recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, direct sun exposure and sources of excessive heat such as saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for a period following treatment.
Your skin may appear red and feel warm, sensitive or slightly swollen immediately following your appointment.
1–3 days after treatment
As your skin settles, you may experience temporary dryness, tightness, sensitivity or mild flaking.
Follow the skincare and cleansing instructions provided by your practitioner and avoid introducing active or potentially irritating products until advised that your skin is ready.
Daily sun protection is particularly important following Skin Needling. Follow your practitioner’s advice regarding when and how to reintroduce SPF and your usual skincare products.
Around one week after treatment
Your skin will generally continue to settle over the days following treatment, while the collagen response stimulated by Skin Needling develops progressively over the following weeks and months.
Your practitioner can advise when to reintroduce your regular active skincare and recommend professional products suited to your skin and treatment plan.
